What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?  

We are searching for a talented professional with experience public policy, to be part of our team in a big FMCG company. You will be responsible for public relations, ESG, external communication, stakeholders’ engagement, as well as the analysis and strategic understanding of the business requirements, from Marketing and Trade, Finance, Legal and others, related to Corporate Affairs. To succeed in this role, you should be highly professional, soft skilled, analytical, and possess excellent communication skills (written and oral) to interact with internal and external stakeholders. High proficiency in English is required.

What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?

Maintaining a positive corporate image for BAT while handling media requests as well as internal and external shareholder inquiries, through strategic communication, branding, and crisis management.Building relationships with the media, craft messages, organize events and promote products or services, all while anticipating and managing public perception.

Your key responsibilities will include

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Process information and identify and manage its impact in BAT’s image.
  • Determine how to externally communicate to corporate perception and image.
  • Forging relationships with key stakeholders, internal and external.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyse data, and develop strategies for business growth.
  • Analyze and understand the commercial needs of the company in the mass consumption sector.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to collect, document, and validate requirements.
  • Manage the communication and agreements with global and regional areas.
  • Manage the relationship with local suppliers in our value chain.

What are we looking for?

  • Attorney, journalist, public relation.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience.
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • English high proficiency (written and oral).
  • Strong Leadership Skills to manage teams and to influence business decisions through concise storytelling.
  • Collaboration & communication.
  • Microsoft Excel and power BI.
  • Agile Methodology.
