British American Tobacco Poland has an exciting opportunity for a Sourcing Manager in Warsaw
The role is part of the Central Europe (CE) Procurement team which is divided to cover different End Markets/Clusters. Main owned responsibility is ensuring smooth, accurate & OTIF Procurement source-to-contract processes in areas of responsibility up to and including reporting of the Procurement KPI’s.
Your key responsibilities will include:
This role is mainly responsible for the below key Procurement tasks for CE Area Marketing category.
- Handling the Strategic Sourcing Process (within the framework of the approved Indirect category strategy and agreed sourcing delivery channel) specifically: Driving the Source to Contract (Analysis, Sourcing Strategy, Market Engagement, Negotiation, Contract, Implementation).
- Preparing gate approval documents and presentations to Local & Area Tender Committees, Global Head of Procurement
- Reporting on sourcing activities in a timely manner to above market Procurement teams or individuals (e.g., Geographic Head of Procurement, Procurement Business Managers etc.).
- Driving contract management activities together with Legal and respective business stakeholders.
- Managing and coordinating with relevant business functions the required supplier performance management for selected key suppliers.
- Implementing Global Category Strategies mainly for Marketing and any other relevant category; close collaboration with Global Sourcing Managers on respective sourcing initiatives.
- Ensuring proper governance is in place & preparing / performing business education sessions for Polish employees on an annual basis together with Legal to ensure compliance to Procurement processes.
- Where appropriate, managing & resolving contractual performance issues
- Negotiating payment term improvement for selected suppliers to support delivery of the cash release target for CE Procurement.
- Supporting above market initiatives e.g., contract compliance, supplier segmentation, etc.
What are we looking for?
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant area of procurement
- Business English and Polish required as a language
- Professional knowledge of Procurement principles, including high order negotiation skills
- Systems : SAP & COUPA
- Validated experience in strategic sourcing process
- In-depth category knowledge and shown capability of applying supplier management techniques to deliver contributed benefits in addition to contracted benefits.
- Detailed knowledge of supply market, supplier capabilities and competitor activity, and encouraged trends at a local level.
- Detailed understanding of financial evaluation and interpretation of supplier’s records and their key cost and business drivers.
- Full understanding of the category total cost model, cost drivers and all factors needed to ensure a robust agreement for BAT (including specification and testing requirements).
